It's rap star Lil' Wayne's birthday, so what better way to celebrate than to bring out a hot new album download. The "I am Not a Human Being" album download has leaked to the internet and is also being officially sold in digital download/MP3 formats. Quite a present from Wayne who is cruising far away from planet Earth on this new work!So far the new album's out of this world, which is quite a feat seeing as Lil' Wayne's behind bars (literally and figuratively). His last album "Rebirth" was an experiment in rock music, which did well but wasn't appeasing Wayne's rap fans so much. The new Lil Wayne rap album "I Am Not A Human Being
" is right on time and on point, with Wayne flipping his usual lyrical gymnastics over extraterrestrial beats. He brings in a few popular guests including Drake and Nicki Minaj, both of whom have done other collab work with Wayne before.The title track on the new album features rock guitar and hard-hitting drums banging throughout, almost like a Lil' Wayne version of "99 Problems," but not quite. On this new ten-track set, Weezy discusses everything from STD's to his fame to the love life. Wayne's clearly experimenting with his music and noting that he's on another level, even in another galaxy with his stuff. While his digital version of the new album was released on his birthday, 9/27/10, most albums release on Tuesdays. In this case, it's a b-day present from Wayne to fans. He'll release a physical CD copy of the album in two weeks which will include 2 new tracks not on the digital version.
Some argue that Lil' Wayne releasing this "I am not a Human Being" album digitally two weeks ahead of the real deal physical copy is a bad idea and will hurt sales. Not only that, they say it will cause Wayne to lose out in the #1 album battle with country star Kenney Chesney. Clearly, Lil' Wayne must love the fans or not care about those rankings because he certainly release a certified banger online.
